Book Review - Greatness Unlimited - Review by M Saravanan

Greatness Unlimited" the book written by Gulaam Khwaja Moinudeen about learning from the life of Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam is simply "Unlimited Greatness" to read through... Amazing remembrances of various incidents, events including dates and venues supporting with photographs would have taken tiring efforts but my friend Gulaam had nailed it making look easy & simple like the life of his Grandpa Dr. Kalam's.

Every chapter starts with a quote of Dr. Kalam and travels with an anecdote of a hard incident and ends with a learning from the ever great man who came from a simple soil of our wonderful nation.

The book should carry a disclaimer that once you started reading, you can never close it before completely reading it.

Maybe, I could fit into the narration as easy as the author since we both were undergraduate colleagues (as usual I bunked on the day Dr. Kalam came to our college, my friend) or maybe I could understand the terminologies easy as we both from the same department or maybe I could recollect certain sensitive incidents like the hospital episode or the final episodes or might be the author's narration make you feel you are Gulaam on major parts or might be I got a feel I'm Dr. Kalam in certain sequences because he had left a lot of legacies in every single adult+ of our nation or simply I still don't find the answer for how my life will support the development of this country or a small jealous that the pride of the nation didn't teach us in person like how he did with his grandson or something an eternal power wants to hold until you complete the book.

One last critic, the book, somewhere gets into the author's auto-biography here & there but you can't help it when a student writes the story of his teacher, obviously both will be a part of it. Finally, learned the grooming of writer Gulaam by constant improvement from his Grandpa on the later episodes after the final one, the author mentioned this incredibly by sharing his earlier writings from his Mind blowing Blogs. It actually needs guts, hands down, no surprises from the grandson of the Missile Man.

Thanks for the opportunity to experience more about the great man of our era. Lo and behold, the book will be one of this year's bestsellers, am lucky to be one of the first readers.

Saravanan.M alias Sara

Yet another funny man who wants to kiss the feet of Teacher Kalam and hands of Writer Gulaam Saahib. Thanks again
